Andy Abbott

Andy is a socially engaged interdisciplinary artist, often working with audiences as co-producers of the work they will experience. His projects explore themes of place and desire aiming to uncover and amplify underrepresented histories, narratives and voices. Recent works use digital and Virtual Reality technologies to reimagine place.

As an individual artist and in various collectives and collaborations Andy has exhibited, performed, presented and undertaken commissions for Tate Modern, London; MK Gallery, Milton Keynes; SWG3, Glasgow; Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead; Museum of Oxford; and Yorkshire Forward and has completed residencies for Gasworks (London) in PiST, Istanbul; and Cittadellarte-Fondazione Pistoletto, Biella, Italy.
