For the Situation Leeds public arts festival in May 2005 Andy exhibited as part of the Republic group show at Patricks Studios in Burmantofs, Leeds. His contribution was a half scale card version of the chimney outlined in the 'How to build a fucking chimney' project.

The maquette was 15 foot high and made from approximately 8000 card bricks, which the artist constructed one by one, working 9 - 5 for 3 months. The process was documented as a blog at http://andy-abbott.livejournal.com/.

Andy celebrated the end of the Situation Leeds festival by destroying the chimney using a large ladder and a big saw.
