--------Saturday 5th December 2020--------
Despite the distinct lack of gig opportunities there's been a bit of Baby Auction activity in 2020. A big thanks to everyone who purchased stuff as part of the OBA Garage Sale that raised over £700 for Wharf Chambers Co-operative Club in Leeds. Also, Andy has recorded and released a new Andrew DR Abbott album (his acoustic moniker) on new OBA 'old man music' subsidiary ADRA Recordings. You can buy digital and pre-order the vinyl at the link below.
Let's hope that 2021 offers a few more opportunities to come together in real life but until then take care and enjoy the digital realm.

ADRA promotions est. 1980 presents
Gwenifer Raymond
Blistering-yet-moody American-primitive style acoustic guitar and banjo instrumentals from Cardiff via Brighton. Raymond's profile has grown quickly since her 2018 debut "You Never Were Much of a Dancer" released on Josh Rosenthal's San Francisco based Tompkin's Square Records. Don’t miss this rare chance to see her in the intimate surroundings of The Triangle beer shop.
https://gweniferraymond.com/
“ stunningly confident, in full possession of its art. Guitar soli is in very good hands here indeed.”
- 8/10 Uncut
“This is a gorgeous album, and Gwenifer Raymond is a profound talent.”
-5* The Guardian
"Its intricate folk melody is Welsh and Celtic in style but American Old West in practice. The rhythmic patterns mimic the swift dynamics of a fiddle with a country twang. Western music was originally influenced by traditional folk music from England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland; Raymond’s seamless crossover grows from these historically intersecting roots."
- Stereogum
"American Primitive Guitar is a unique sub-genre of acoustic instrumental guitar music that exists under the always foreboding shadow of John Fahey, the late, idiosyncratic, and troubled genius credited with almost single-handedly inventing the form … and sprinkled among those collections is a small assortment of fingerpicking women capable of meeting and even beating their male contemporaries note for note."
- Pop Matters

ALISON COTTON
Alison Cotton is a classically trained viola player based in London, working with improvisation and composition. As well as her recent solo work, she is one half of the Walthamstow based songwriting partnership, The Left Outsides.
She spent almost the last 2 decades performing in bands and collaborating with other musicians. Her collaborative album with Michael Tanner (Plinth) in 2016, with its quietly levitating drones pointed the way to her first solo record.
Her debut album ’All Is Quiet at the Ancient Theatre’ was released in 2018 on cassette on Bloxham Tapes, followed by a vinyl release on Cardinal Fuzz (UK) and FEEDING TUBE RECORDS (USA).
In 2018, she was commissioned by the BBC to compose and record a soundtrack to accompany the Muriel Spark ghost story, ‘The Girl I Left Behind Me’ which was broadcast on Gideon Coe’s BBC Radio 6 Music show at Christmas. This composition, along with another soundtrack, was released on October 25 on Clay Pipe Music.
As well as the viola, she uses an array of other instruments (her voice, harmonium, percussion, recorder, omnichord, shruti box and piano) to create long, haunting folk drones.
Many of her pieces are created for, and named after spaces, whether real or fictional, and often of another time. As she plays, she focusses on the image of these places (‘A Tragedy In the Tithe Barn’, ‘All Is Quiet at The Ancient Theatre’, ‘The Bells of St Agnes’ and her recent piece, ‘Behind the Spiderweb Gates’).
In 2017, she composed and performed the soundtrack to artist Jessye Curtis’ film, ’36 Dramatic Situations’ as well as playing a live accompaniment to the film at the Chelsea College of Art Degree Show.
‘All Is Quiet At The Ancient Theatre’ was selected by Luke Turner as one of The Guardian Writers Albums of the Year, by Jude Rogers as one of the Guardian Folk Albums of the Month and placed at number 49 in The Quietus Albums of The Year in 2018.
“Alison Cotton’s album is a highly memorable suite evoking other times and places with a deftness and a lightness of touch. She is an excellent and restrained songwriter, confidently combining instrumental and vocal music to create a recording that delivers much and promises more to come”. - Tom Bolton, The Quietus
"An eerie, lost folk horror soundtrack glinting in the sunshine, Cotton’s pure English voice rising mysteriously around the violas and recorders." - Jude Rogers, The Guardian
“Folorn, hypnotic drone hymns for an ancient haunted England” - 4* Andrew Male, Mojo
“The power of this music is simply awe-inspiring. When Alison Cotton plays, the world stands still” - Tristan Bath, The Quietus (Spool’s Out column)
"Alison Cotton creates a psychedelic pagan folk ritual with her viola, recorder, percussion and ghostly voice on 'All Is Quiet At The Ancient Theatre'. Slowing things down to a droning pace, Cotton seems to summon up mystical powers through her eerie Clannad-ish chants on 'The Bells of St Agnes’” - Claire Sawers - The Wire
“Perhaps it might be better to say that Cotton’s music finds the sacred in the pastoral, or that this roots the avant-garde in the traditional. It is, perhaps, apt that Cotton’s titles reference so many spaces: this is work that’s established its own ground on which to dwell, to expand, and to quietly inspire”. ANDREW DR ABBOTT
Andy Abbott is an artist, musician and writer who lives in Bradford, West Yorkshire, UK. His recent output as ‘Andrew DR Abbott’ centres on instrumental compositions for 8-string baritone acoustic guitar.
Both his ‘Live on Daisy Hill’ cassette (released by Bloxham Tapes in 2018) and ‘Dead in Chellow Dean’ album (released by Cardinal Fuzz in the UK and FEEDING TUBE RECORDS in the USA in 2019) use fingerpicked guitar, field recordings and handmade instruments to reflect the darker facets of life in the postindustrial North.
Andy is best known for his deafening guitar work in the leftfield rock bands That Fucking Tank and NOPE with whom he has toured internationally on the DIY underground circuit, as well as mainstream gigs supporting Foals and appearances at Leeds and Reading festivals. With his acoustic he has shared stages with William Tyler, Dean McPhee, The Horse Loom, Alison Cotton, C Joynes, and David Thomas Broughton.
“A minor 21st century folk masterpiece … Abbott ignores the comfort of pure folk structures and bluesy scales, twisting his lush folk guitar into something brimming with potent pangs of a serrated kind of poetic discontent.” - The Quietus
“This is one of the most beautiful, introspective collections of intricate acoustic guitar music you could ever hope to hear… Abbott conveys an emotive trip with mostly just one instrument, and his unique approach to technique, structure, and musicality all come together to form a powerful narrative. A genuine escape ideal for those in search of hidden gems.” - The Sleeping Shaman
“An excellent album of pastoral paintings as Andrew pitches himself as the psych folk Vini Reilly” - Colour Horizon

-----------Saturday April 19th---------------
Surprise and Happy Record Store Day! To celebrate we're taking pre-orders on our new vinyl release which is the second album by Leeds/Bradford 'supergroup' NOPE.
LOT 012
Walker
Format: 12-inch heavyweight vinyl in gatefold sleeve
Band(s): Nope (Leeds/Bradford)
Release date: June 2014
Run: 500 copies (first 200 blue swirl vinyl)
Notes: Walker is the second album by Leeds/Bradford quartet NOPE, progressing the themes and aesthetic of 2012’s highly-praised debut Revision.
Featuring familiar faces from the North UK DIY/independent music scene - including Andy Abbott of That Fucking Tank, Jon Nash of Hookworms/Cowtown, and Steve Nuttall of Mucky Sailor - NOPE aim to exceed the sum of their parts with an expansive sound and vision. Nuttall and Nash’s dual drumming lays the foundation for Abbott’s relentless, cyclical riffing, which has been described with tongue in cheek as melding early Smashing Pumpkins, Neu and Status Quo. A new addition is Patrick Dowson’s second guitar, broadening the sonic pallet and freeing up the song structures to allow for more intricate melodies and a healthy dose of guitar solos.
Walker sees NOPE exploring the ground between fist-pumping alternative hard rock and hypnotic, kraut-influenced shoegaze to head banging, hip shaking effect. Framed around the 30-minute title track - which is split over two sides on the vinyl edition - Walker is a dynamic album where extended drone and ambient passages explode into violent stabs and stereo-guitar chugs, building to euphoric climaxes that recall leftfield electronica and techno. Abbott explains:
‘With this album we were able to spend a lot more time on composition. The half-hour track was commissioned by Recon festival for a collaboration with filmmaker Eoin Shea. This allowed us to approach the writing process in a more open-ended way and gave us a lot more time to experiment. We took Russell Hoban’s book Riddley Walker as a shared starting point, which also influenced the theme and look of our first album. The book has a desolate, oppressive feel but with an underlying uplifting, optimistic vibe which I hope we’ve managed to translate into the record.’
Shea also provides the artwork for the album with a set of awe-inspiring collages that wrap up the album in a gatefold sleeve, paying homage to the progressive rock and psychedelia of the 1970s that NOPE rejuvenate and advance.
Walker is a split release between Bradford’s Obscene Baby Auction and Audacious Art Experiment, two long-running DIY labels. Available in time for NOPE’s tour of the UK in June 2014. Details at www.justsaynope.co.uk.

Stephanie Hladowski and C. Joynes
Last year Bradford’s most stunning voice Stephanie Hladowski and Cambridge-based guitarist C. Joynes teamed up to make an album of traditional folk songs for Bo’Weavil recordings called The Wild Wild Berry. This gig will see them performing songs from the fast-becoming classic described on Boomkat as ‘superb and timeless’ and a record that has drawn attention to Steph as ‘folk singer of the year’.

Jooklo Duo
Free Jazz duo from Italy made of Virginia Genta (sax) and David Vanzan (drums) absolutely blazing it in the best way possible. Loved by Henry Rollins and Wire magazine alike, their endless pursuit of spiritual redemption through free music has resulted in a huge strew of releases; collaborations with notable characters including Merce Cunningham, Chris Corsano, Sonic Youth, John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin), and gigs, tours and residencies all over the world. Come see them create the good energy for Bradford.
http://jooklo.altervista.org/
Bennett/Murray/Vulliamy
The musical answer to the question; what should be done if three of the finest and most affable improvising musicians in the UK happen to all live in Bradford? A joyous collaboration of double bass, viola/vocals and trombone making it up in short bursts that are sad, energetic, unnerving, funny and intuitively composed. Seth has played in a ton of bands and groups from the DIY punk scene through to 7 Hertz, McWatt and countless Jazz projects. Aby and George were both members of Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra.

September 2011 Part 3
As threatened Obscene Baby Auction Records is resurrected! Our first release of the decade is the new album by That Fucking Tank, TFT, of which we will be releasing the initial run on vinyl.
Gringo Records will be taking care of the official and mainstream shop release later in the year.
Go to OBA bandcamp page where you can also have a sneaky listen if you want to hear it before buying.
That Fucking Tank - TFT
Format: 12-inch vinyl (first 100 white vinyl)
Release date: December 2011
Run: 300 copies
Notes: TFT is the third album by Bradford-based instrumental two-piece That Fucking Tank, following 2009’s Tanknology; a record that became a favourite amongst the DIY and noise-rock underground in UK and Europe. TFT sees Andy and James deliver a similarly substantial amount of riffs, hooks and grooves via their chosen tools of baritone guitar (played through and switched between multiple guitar and bass amplifiers) and drums (stripped to the bare essentials i.e without toms) but with a much-expanded palette in terms of style, influence and mood.
TFT acts as a concept album of sorts. Confidently in control of their instruments and having honed the sound that has secured their reputation as one of the UK’s most invigorating live acts, Tank are able to revisit and pull together influences that reflect both their broad taste and the fact that they have been playing together in one form or another since the age of eleven. Recorded in the year when these two friends reached thirty, TFT is a musical review of the journey they have embarked on for the last twenty years.
Rob Whiteley is back at the helm as engineer, having now worked with Andy and James for close to ten years. This sustained relationship has led him to develop a unique recording technique that captures the rawness and energy of Tank’s performances (tracks are performed live in the studio with little or no overdubs) whilst creating layers of sound that translate the volume of a Tank gig as closely as possible. The result is an album of unprecedented depth and colour, for a ‘noise-rock’ duo at least, that moves across different spaces and atmospheres whilst retaining a consistency that represents the ‘minimal/maximal’ approach of the band well.
In keeping with the autobiographical nature of the album Andy and James have decided to release the initial pressing of this record through their resurrected label Obscene Baby Auction; putting the DIY ethics of the band into practice. A final important nod comes in the form of the packaging and liner notes that consciously echo Crass. Although it may be difficult for first-time listeners to make links between Tank and the anarcho-punk scene stylistically or aesthetically, an ethical and political affinity exists; Tank do their best to demonstrate that good music need not be the product of a careerist or cynically professional approach - it can just as likely come from friends having a good time together.
Tracklisting:
1. TFT // 2. Wonderful World Of // 3. Car On Fire // 4. Lomond // 5. Nailbomb //
6. NWONWOBHM // 7. Acid Jam // 8. D8 // 9. Threads // 10. End (Of Wonderful World)
We have sold out of Baby Auction mailorders but you can still buy vinyl versions from Norman Records and read a bloody nice review HERE.

August 2011 Part 2
Just a mid-month update to say that Obscene Baby Auction will be releasing the initial pressing of the new That Fucking Tank album which was recorded last week and should be out by end of September or October. Exciting stuff.
Also, as well as the gig as part of No Hands with The Family Elan, Brass and No Guts on 26th Of August at The Polish Club (see details below), there's also going to be a total boomer at the 1 in 12 that you ought to put in your diaries as soon as poss. Here are the particulars:
Wednesday 14th September
This Obscene Baby Auction Presents

August 2011 Part 1
Big thank-yous all round to everyone involved in The Grand Obscene Baby Auction and to those who attended. It was a couple of cracking days with supersede-ary sets by all. Big ta to the bar collective of the 1 in 12 too and the excellent 'Meals to an End' Cafe upstairs.
Next month we're back to usual OBA at No Hands which means bands with less travel expenses and as such free or donation entry. It might be worth a reminder here though that if you are able to cough up the price of a drink towards the bands then in the future more varied and exciting bands can play.
As a general rule door prices at OBA events are kept as cheap as humanly possible and are worked out on the basis that everyone who attends pays in. We don't have a guestlist as that would mean the door price would have to be higher for everyone else. By being willing to pay in you share the costs and keep it affordable for everyone.
Friday August 26th
This Obscene Baby Auction and No Hands present

Last, for those that haven't had an explore in a while I've added a Digital Releases section that hosts downloadable E.P's and albums of material that either never saw the light of day or is simply more appropriately shared for free. This includes the long lost Kill Yourself album and Real Fucky Fucky E.P as well as Nope's Tour CD and some Elizabeth stuff. Enjoy!
I've also done a quick update to the 'A History' section as it was feeling a little short, and an 'On 'DIY'' article that hopes to contextualise some of the content on the site.

That Fucking Tank and Shield Your Eyes Free Gig
Monday 25th April. Countess of Rosse, Saltaire. Starts at 8pm. FREE ENTRY!
This Obscene Baby Auction Presents..
As the end date of their Scottish Micro-tour That Fucking Tank and Shield Your Eyes will celebrate the Bank Holiday Monday with a homecoming gig at The Countess of Rosse in Saltaire.
For the uninitiated That Fucking Tank are a baritone guitar and drums duo from Leeds/Saltaire that honed their brand of instrumental classic rock riff mash in Leeds 6 in 2003 and are still rocking it hard. Tank have toured all over Europe and have shared bills with contemporaries Hella, Lightning Bolt, Q and not U, Oxes and Metallica.
www.thatfuckingtank.co.uk
Shield Your Eyes are often mistaken for a math-rock post-hardcore emo spazz-core trio in part due to the ridiculous musical acrobatics of guitarist/singer Stef and drum-master Henri. The true root of their musical outpourings are in progressive blues power trios of the 1960’s and 70’s meaning that beneath the noise-rock surface there’s a whole lot of boogie going on. Joined on bass by Andy from Tank for this tour Shield ‘Em plan to extend the jams and crank up the Creedence.
www.shieldyoureyes.com
The gig will be FREE ENTRY and the Rosse has cheap drinks. Trains from and to Leeds run every half hour and take about 20 mins. Bands will finish in time for the last train back.
January 2011
Happy New Year one and all! January kicked off with a most enjoyable tour by OBA related band Nope pillocking around the UK drinking Real Ales and deafening locals with the excellent In Zaire from Italy. Cheers to everyone who came along. Watch this space for more Nopey action in the future.
The main purpose of this update, however, is to let you know of another gig that is guaranteed ace-times happening in Bradford. Vialka are undoubtedly the greatest band existing currently so you'd be a mad-berk to pass up any opportunity to see them. Here's how:
This Obscene Baby Auction Presents
Vialka
French turbo-folk micro-orchestra baritone guitar and drums duo. Wonky globally-inspired virtuosity from the stable of Headache, NNY, etc. Eric and Marylise have been travelling the world and pushing the boundaries of what a DIY ‘punk’ band are capable of both musically and practically for a decade. I urge you to see them: That Fucking Tank formed just to play with them. If you like Boredoms, Magma, Hella, Ruins, Eastern Folk, Chinese punk, Kosak dancing, Madonna-style head-mics or music of any variety there will be something for you.
http://vialka.com/
Stig Noise
Liverpool based noise madness now in its 12th year. Duel-drum punk, funk, hook-laden filth party. Friends of Action Beat and spiritual relatives of Vialka and the rest of the underground music community that is committed to unrestricted exploration both sonic and geographic.
http://www.stignoise.info/
That Fucking Tank
Instrumental classic-rock mash-up duo of Baritone Guitar and drums.
http://thatfuckingtank.co.uk/
The Family Elan
Bradford’s Chris Hladowski brings the Wire-endorsed psychedelic folk aceness.

October 2010
Another gig upcoming for your delectation; this time featuring Lungfisherman Nathan Bell, Nottingham's finest, Kogumaza, and Bingley's best, Stu Bannister. See below for details.
Also, cheers to all for the kind comments and feedback regarding the site and the 'a history'. It's nice to know people have time to read the drivel and I am responsible for extending some of your lunch breaks at work. I've been having some enlightening chats with 'key figures' in the DIY scene B.OBA (prior to Obscene Baby Auction) which may find themselves appearing on this site in some format in the future. Until then, please come along to the gig if you can, the Playhouse needs all the support it can get at the moment.
WEDNESDAY 3rd NOVEMBER 2010
This Obscene Baby Auction presents
NATHAN BELL (of LUNGFISH, USA)
Bassist from Dischord records legends Lungish plays psychedelic effects-laden banjo brilliance on first UK solo tour.
www.myspace.com/osmodiusbell
KOGUMAZA (Nottingham)
Snail-paced atmospheric riffing of the uplifting and spiritual variety. Members of Bob Titlon, Wolves of Greece, Lords and Little Girl with Cherries like Spacemen 3 and Sunn.
http://www.myspace.com/oogamaza
STU BANNISTER (Bingley)
Quack Quack lad makes thrilling unlooped noise using manipulated instruments and dodgy microphones for feedback heaven. Alvin Lucier fans will enjoy.
http://www.myspace.com/stuartbnet
In the Basement Bar at Bradford Playhouse, Chapel Street, http://www.bradfordplayhouse.co.uk/
£4 in. Starts at 9pm. Bands will finish in time for trains and buses back to Leeds.
This is a DIY gig meaning that the bands, the promoters and the venue are motivated not by profit but by a love of music and self-organised activity that helps create alternative spaces to the music industry. Things are deliberately kept as cheap and inclusive as possible. Please come along to support and help sustain this and other gigs like it. It’s fun and it’s good for you and the city!
September 2010
Archiving all this old activity got the baby-juices coarsing through the cold, hardened veins and has helped inform the decision to resuscitate OBA in both name and spirit. See forthcoming gigs like that posted below for proof of early stirrings, with provisional plans for some kind of physical format music object now brewing.
Plus, now almost every OBA release is available to listen and download in the digital shop section. Go to it!
MONDAY 11TH OCTOBER 2010
This Obscene Baby Auction presents
GROPETOWN (Glasgow)
Excellent lads from the Winning Sperm Party stable of new wave of spazzy Glaswegian hardcore. Think Minutemen, early Boredoms, Butthole Surfers, Arab on Radar, Dawson or Stretchheads style discordant energetic noise-rock. Yes!
http://www.myspace.com/gropetown
GUMMY STUMPS (Glasgow)
Fellow Winning Sperms emerging from the post-Plaaydoh fallout. Minimal post-punk like Sonic Youth or The Fall with Scot-accented Killdozer-type vocals. Intriguingly mint.
http://www.myspace.com/thegummystumps
PIFCO (Leeds)
Mary and Ste have been blasting out The Fall-ish and Wedding Present-y stripped down garage-indie rock long enough to become Radio 6 Steve Lamaqc’s joint-favourite band with Steely Dan. Always wonderful.
http://www.myspace.com/pifco1
In the Basement Bar at Bradford Playhouse, Chapel Street, http://www.bradfordplayhouse.co.uk/
£4 in. Starts at 9pm. Bands will finish in time for trains and buses back to Leeds.

May 2005
OUT NOW!!!
THAT FUCKING TANK & GRABBA GRABBA TAPE SPLIT 7". That Fucking Tank contribute the imaginatively titled 'Andrew' & 'James' two amazing songs that clock in over a whopping 8 minutes. The band, recently described as Prog-Bastards, were slightly concerned that the audio may spill off the end of the vinyl and onto turntables everywhere, but thankfully it all sounds banging and contained. Flip the disc over and Madrid's Grabba Grabba Tape will tear off your ear flaps with synth-punk attacks (Two original tracks & two amazing Minor Threat covers). If you like Devo, Residents or Polysics, check it out. According to Michael from This Aint Vegas, the Grabba Grabba Tape's side is better than Tank's no mean feat.
THANKS!!!
If you saw these bands recently, touring the UK, then you will have had the opportunity to buy this record - if you missed it, dry your eyes as the single is available in all good/bad Leeds record shops plus Hot Rats in Sunderland, & 45 RPM/Steel Wheels in Newcastle. It may rear its ugly head in some other places too!!
A big massive thanks must go out to everyone who helped us on this tour & came out to the gigs, we appreciate it very much. THANKYOU (YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE!!)
BAND NEWS!!!
That Fucking Tank are taking a tiny break whilst Andrew builds a paper chimney but a full length record is scheduled to be recorded in late July. It is going to be long and will feature loads of our friends making a racket with us!! Look out for more news on this here and on the Jealous Records page. In the interim, Andrew & James can be seen (playing) at the following gigs on the Oxes tour:
10th June - Leeds, Woodhouse Liberal Club w/ Whores Whores Whores
11th June - Milton Keynes, Bletchley Leisure Centre (venue tbc)
Yeah!
Kill Yourself's album is nearly done too. It bangs!! After the finishing touches are put to it, hopefully it will be released. Suffice to say, the three mystery members of this band are mega-pleased with it thus far. Discussions have been going on about putting up a Baby Auction My Space (God forbid), so hopefully new Kill Yourself songs (plus others) can be hosted for the listening pleasure of all!!
Grabba Grabba Tape have some news but it is best to go visit their website for it in their own words. If you live in Madrid, there are some good gigs coming up!!! We like this band and so should you.
And finally, Eagle Eye have recorded for a single on Jealous Records. Details are Top Secret but expect a release date of Summertime and a wedge of gigs to follow. In the meantime oggle these beauties:
6th June - Leeds, Packhorse w/ Chinese Stars, Like a Stuntman, and Quack Quack
24th June - Leeds, Common Place w/ Bullet Union and more!
Bye for now
March 2005

That is somewhat it.
Jan 2005
Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii,
Some festive new-yearish news for it: In similarity to last time's news we just returned from a totally amazing time in smashing mainland Europe and un-computerable thanks goes in the direction of all the lovely people who helped out, let us stay at their house, played with us, made us the best food ever and were generally ace everywhere (apart from Mikro who was a right cunt).
That Fucking Tank got to play with some excellent bands not least the wonderful Poltergroom who seemed to be at every single gig and in the van all the time. You may not have heard of Poltergroom so here is an introduction: they are members of Dungeon Dungeon and Isambard Kingston Brunel and currently reside in London, if you like Arab on Radar or US Maple then definitley check them out..if you don't then definitley check them out, they are best. Chevreuil were also a super-group we were blessed enough to musically compete with in Strasbourg, they are from Nantes and are one guitar, drums and four fucking amplifiers. Check out http://ruminance.free.fr to learn more. Ruminance is also home to many other exciting bands that it would be healthy to familiarise with. Go to it.
Before that all happened Kill Yourself had a lovely day in the studio in Liverpool recording the rest of the songs to form an album to be released some time in the next 6 months or so. The whole thing is finished now and just needs mastering and sequencing and art work and shit sorted out. It is pretty heavy. Robert Whiteley did a beautiful job recording it so if you are in a band or want some sounds recorded in a mint manner then he is the person to go to. Having to stay in Liverpool for several hours is a small sacrifice to make for time in this man's christ-esque company. Contact us for his contact details.
That Fucking Tank will be recording the set of riffs and noises that form songs performed in Europe a couple of days after xmas. This will also form some kind of record, an e.p perhaps, so keep your ears to the ground or your computers to find out when and where it will be available. Apart from the new Tank songs a King Crimson cover will also be recorded (with special guests) to be made in to a 7" released by Jealous records. Rumours have it that the other side will feature Leeds riffing-beasts Monster Killed by Laser, which will be excellent.
Grabba Grabba Tape are coming! Prepare to shit yourself silly, we are in the process of booking a tour for one of the greatest acts of all time..Grabba Grabba Tape of Madrid. At the end of April they will arrive on our crusty shore and spend an entire week with That Fucking Tank playing gigs and wearing elaborate costumes and talking nonsense. If you want this twin-set of noise duos to visit your town in the UK then please get in touch. Grabba Grabba Tape make a sublime noisey pop mess and have played with Lightning Bolt and Daughters and loads of other crap. I defy you not to split your head in half smiling when they play, look at the gssh gssh website for photographic evidence.
LOT 008 will be a split 7" between Grabba Grabba Tape and That Fucking Tank made available for the end-of-April tour. We will be teaming up with gssh gssh to produce a thing of both aural and visual amazement in a very limited quantity so make sure you get to the gigs somehow..it may be your only chance. Details of the tour will go up soon but check the forum because its much easier that way.
Finally a little round up of gigs that you may like to attend;
