Often billed as being from Nottingham when in actuality they hailed from Coventry, Little Girl With Cherries only managed to play in Leeds a handful of times (twice?) between 2003 and 2004 before they stopped doing the band. Those couple of performances were really incredible and memorable; not only because it was refreshing to see a female-led band playing 'mathy' rock music - a genre which in Leeds as elsewhere is full of lads. Katherine's guitar playing was a joy to behold, clanging out all manner of weird chords in spiky time signatures on her metal-necked Kramer whilst pulling off stylish footwork in high-heels.
Katherine now plays in sublime-droners Kogumaza.
